Remembering Somer Thompson

The pictures above is the layout that I created to go into a mini scrapbook for Somer's mom Diena. A call went out on youtube for anyone that would like to create a page for a mini album to celebrate Somer's upcoming birthday which is April 5th. This will be the first birthday that her family will celebrate without her, she had a twin brother. I'm sure many of you have heard the tragedy behind this story but today lets celebrate Somer's life.

Distressed/Antiqued Mini Swap

Here's a sneak peak at my mini for the Distressed/Antiqued Mini swap over on the Cricut MB. My swap partner will be celebrating her 10 year anniversary and she wanted a book to put pictures of her and her husband, I hope I did them justice in this one.
A little about the cover: The flowers are handmade using the layering and water technique. The letters are done using Marion's puff paint and utee technique ( you can find her on youtube at APieceofCraftdotcom).. More pictures will follow when the swap is complete.

As promised pictures of the inside of my mini. I put a lot of frames in this one because my swap partner will be celebrating her 10th wedding anniversary. I sent her some sxtra goodies becasue if I would have put one more thing in this book it would have exploded!! LOL

Mini Purse Album

Here another mini that I just completed for Glue Scissor Paper DT Challenge. Make sure you check out the blog for the other awesome creations!

This is one of the $1 chipboard albums from M's which I only used 2 of the pieces. I drew the pattern on my card stock and cut it out and glued it to the chipboard. (for the bottom I just cut a strip of chipboard). I created the lollipop from from some silk like material and curled the edges with a lighter then glimmer misted and added the feathers. The latch was made from a strip of black card stock and covered with UTEE. Added the pearls and the pearl charm that came from M's. The latch is held down with some magnets from basicgrey (they are strong!). Hope you all like it.......comments are welcomed.

I'm Addicted to .........Mini's

Here's another mini I did for Valentine's Day. This was so much fun to make. I've learned to go shopping in my scraproom before I sit down to make my mini's! I put all the things that will go into the book in a basket so that everything is right there. Well here goes pictures of my heart mini cut using my cricut. I will let the book do the talking if you have any questions about how I did any of the pages just leave me a question in my chat box or leave a comment......I love comments!

I think many of you may know that we scrappers love to "SHOP" well I want to share some of the great deals that I've found this week from TM, BL and M's.






I also have some dies from Sizzix on the way which were on clearence from $2.49 to $3.99! Can't wait to get them.

"LOVE" Mini Album

Valentine is right around the corner so I've been busy creating this mini paperbag album which will grace pictures of me and my hubby! I had so much fun making this little book but boy it was alot of work! Hope you all like it as much as I do.

Go-Green .....GSP Challenge

Our challenge over at GSP was to make any item of 50% recycled material well I think I did about 95% on this one. First I created the pages with plastic bags. I made them by cutting the front part with the store logo off . You will also have to cut the handles and the bottom seam off. This will give you a long piece of plastic which you will need to fold to a 5x7, I also used two bags per sheet so they we're thicker . Place them under some craft paper and melt them together with the iron, make sure you keep the iron moving. Cut the sheets down to an equal size. I then used Tim Holtz alcohol inks to color the pages.......oh so pretty.

For the album I took a box from the many scrapbook orders I receive........lol. I used one of the sides that already had a crease and made two more creases to create a flap for the front of the book. I then added a little latch and wholla!!! Don't you just love this little book.......I have to fill up the pages with pictures ASAP!!! Hope you all like what I've done. Love comments!!!
